Michael “Mick” L. Mcmullen

Mick L. McMullen, 76, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on Oct. 29th, 2016.

He graduated from Stafford High School 1958. During high school, he learned and mastered printing and newspaper skills at the Stafford Courier through the tutoring of E. A. Briles, Dick Darnell, and Frank Smiley. He later moved to Hawaii where he became a successful businessman for 30 years. He owned and operated several locations of Best Instant Printing and was a long-time member of the Honolulu Executive Association. He retired to Shawnee, KS to be near his children and grandchildren. He is best remembered for his love of sailing, snorkeling, amazing craftsmanship, creativity, honesty and generosity

He was predeceased by his brother Kay McMullen of Spokane WA., and his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of Shawnee,KS, one sister, Clarabel Van Nahmen of Junctiion City, KS, and two daughters, Micki K McMullen of Shawnee and Tammi L Wirsig (Gene) of Emporia, KS

Four grandchildren: Cory McMullen (Megan), Amanda Bringus (Cory), Adam Sherman and Daniel McMullen (Kayla), and five great grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
