Michael Anthony Sabala

Michael Anthony Sabala, born on August 16, 1983, at KU Medical Center, passed away on August 5, 2024, just shy of his 41st birthday. 

Michael was dedicated and hardworking individual when it came to his passions, proudly serving in his role at Hardscape and the Union. His passion for his work was rivaled only by his love of sports, particularly football. He also had a deep commitment to physical fitness, regularly participating in weightlifting and encouraging those around him to lead active, healthy lives. He also expressed himself and love through poems and songs. 

Michael is preceded in death by his brother Adam Sabala. He is survived by his parents Ralph Sabala Jr., Pamela J. Fritz and stepfather Thomas J. Fritz, children Alexia Sabala, Aleah Sabala, Anthony Sabala, grandson Ismael Paredes, siblings Melissa Sabala, Austin Fritz, nieces Marissa Presler, Melanie Stamps, nephew Jesse Hart Jr., grandparents Lupe Sabala and Sarah Fritz and great nephew Liam Presler.

A visitation will be held at the Amos Family Funeral Home on August 16, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM. Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Michael are invited to join in celebrating his life and paying their final respects.
