Michael John Staab

Michael John Staab, 65, passed away on September 6, 2011, at University of Kansas Medical Center.

Michael was born to John and Gladys Staab of Shawnee Mission, Kansas. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1963. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1968 with a degree is Political Science. Michael served in the US Army from 1968-1972. Michael was a K-Mart store manager for over 30 years and retired in 2001.

Michael is survived by his three children from his marriage to Jacqueline Furbeck: Travis Staab of Arizona, Katie (Chris) Folkerts of Nebraska and Jared Staab of Nebraska; and grandchildren: Steven and Lily Staab of Arizona. He is also survived by Kathy Moorhead his life partner of 9 years.

A memorial service in Michael's honor will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
