Michael G. Zeleznak

Michael G. Zeleznak, 86, of Overland Park, KS passed away April 27, 2009. Mike was born on Strawberry Hill in KCK, the son of Croatian immigrants. He starred in several sports at Ward HS and in football at K-State. He was a WWII veteran, serving as Captain with the 1271st Engr. Combat Battalion in Europe. He worked for HNTB Consulting Engineers for 35 years. He was known for his love of family, football and golf and for his generous and loving spirit. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Patricia, and 5 children, Mary (Henry) of Denver, CO, Mike (Karen) of Topeka, KS, Karen (Jim) of St. Paul, MN, Kathy (Mike) of Belton, MO, Jim (Jennifer) of San Antonio, TX and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Services

Services will be held Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Rd, Roeland Park, KS. Rosary at 10 am followed by visitation. Funeral mass at 11am, with burial services at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Agnes Church or the Parkinson's Foundation.
