Mildred Gibson Clark Dahlin

December 31, 1908 — January 6, 2013

Mildred Dahlin passed away January 6, 2013. She was born in Manor, Pennsylvania, December 31, 1908, the second of five children, to Harry Saley and Levanche Oakes Gibson. In 1912, the family moved to Kansas City. Mildred graduated from Northeast High School in 1927. She then attended Emporia State Teacher’s College and was a member of Pi Delta Theta. She also was a Harvey Girl for Fred Harvey’s restaurants in Barstow, California, during the great depression.

In 1935, she married Arthur C. Clark. they had four children. Arthur passed away in 1956 and in 1968, married David Dahlin. He passed away in 1979. Her son, Dale Clark, passed away in 1998.

Mildred loved music, voice, traveling, flowers, poetry, her cocker spaniels, and doing for others.

Mildred is survived Carollyn Hetu, of Quebec, Canada, Patricia Pendleton, of Mission Kansas, and Kathryn Carl, of Lenexa, Kansas. She also leaves five granddaughters and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 - 11 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

The family requests no flowers. Please remember Mildred through your favorite charity or Village Presbyterian Church.
