Mickey Ottaway, 79, of Overland Park, KS passed away Apr. 2, 2014. She was born Nov. 18, 1934 in Lebanon, MO to Arvel and Dessie Kindrick. The family moved to Wichita, KS in 1949. She graduated from WichitaEastHigh School in 1952. Mickey was united in marriage to her husband Lester A. Ottaway in 1953. They were stationed in Japan with the US Air Force for two years before moving to Overland Park for Lester to attend Dental School in 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, and her son-in-law, Marcelino "JR" Ortego, Jr. Mickey is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lester Ottaway, daughter Terri Ortego, son Doug Ottaway, D.D.S, Col. USAF Ret., grandchildren; Ryan Ottaway, Cody Ottaway, Meghan Ortego Masterson, Mallory Ortego, Miles Ortego, Mackenzie Ortego, and great-grandchildren; Ryder Ortego, Avery Masterson, and Merit Masterson. Along with Tucker the dog.

Visitation & Memorial Service

A visitation will be held Tues. Apr. 8th from 1 to 2 pm at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm.
