Milo Sandburg

May 8, 1930 — March 31, 2013

Milo Sandburg, born May 8, 1930, passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, to be with his Savior.

Milo was an active and caring father. He was an Eagle Scout at the age of 14; a Navy veteran and active in the community as a volunteer fireman, policeman and an EMS. He had a long career in aviation working with TWA, Saudia, Eastern and Continental Airlines. Milo enjoyed a hobby of radios and was a ham radio operator, monitoring many iron man races.

Milo was preceded in death by his younger son, Paul Alan. He is survived by his wife, Doris; sister, Rica Irvin and her husband, Tony; son Mark and wife Eileen, Paul's wife, Carol and grandchildren: Paul Alan and wife Echo, Christine; great grandchildren, Camden and Cadence. Milo also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m., on Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory; immediately followed by the graveside burial service at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe, Kansas, at 2:30 p.m.

There will also be a memorial service held in Houston, Texas, at the Klein United Methodist Church on FM 2920 on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in his name.
