Miriam Detweiler

Miriam R. Detweiler, 84, Lenexa, Kansas passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Sunrise Assisted Living of Lenexa, Kansas.

Miriam was born September 13, 1924 in Sioux City, Iowa to George C. and Marie (Bye) Thomas. She lived in Chillicothe, Missouri from 1964 until February of 2009. She was a homemaker and volunteered for the Dewey Elementary School library for 20 years. She was member of the United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. Detweiler and son, Kirk Detweiler. Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Parsons- Starke, Kansas City, Missouri; son, Mark C. Detweiler, San Francisco, California; son-in-law, William Starke and daughter-in-law, Rowena Nery Detweiler.
