Myra Lyn Mcgowen Sullinger

Myra Lyn McGowen Sullinger, 71, of Roeland Park, Kansas passed away June 23, 2022 surrounded by her family.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Amos Family Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Myra was born May 25, 1951 in Carthage, MO to Robert and Loretta McGowen.

Myra graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School, Class of 1969. Myra spent 40 years as a pharmacy tech and then after retirement found her love for assisting residents at Shawnee Hills Senior Living as their part time Activities Director. Myra loved to host games of bingo, black jack, arts and crafts and be the bartender at happy hour! Myra loved recusing dogs, sunflowers, finding a bargain at estate sales and spending time with her sisters, family and friends.

Myra is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 35 years James L. Sullinger; her sons Mike (Susan) Sullivan Cincinnati OH and Kevin Sullivan Mission KS and stepson Robert (Sharon) Sullinger and grandson Ben San Diego CA; sisters Janice (Jerry) Weaver and Bobbi (Ron) Maybell Shawnee KS; Half-brother Larry (Sheila) McCrery Peoria AZ. Nephews Bryan (Lisa, Cooper) Weaver, Derek Maybell. Nieces Melissa (Rick, Hunter and Zayla) Kuykendall, Katie Maybell, countless friends and family members who will miss her dearly.
