Nadine V. Bristow

Nadine V. Bristow, 97 passed away July 14, 2018.

She was born Oct. 11, 1920 in Burlingame, KS to Henry W. And Naomi K. Snyder Bumford. After graduating from Burlingame High School in 1938 she was married on September 2, 1939 to Dean H. Bristow in Oskaloosa, KS.

She was a member of the Eastern Star N. Chapter #5, VFW Auxiliary 971, A life member of Beta Sigma Phi, and a member of the Epworth Roanoke Church in Kansas City, MO.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean H. Bristow who passed away Sept. 2, 1995 after 56 years of marriage; one son: Larry D. Bristow who passed away May 10, 2018; and two sisters: Marie Crim and Bess Cleland.

She is survived by two grandchildren: Shannon L. Wrightsman of Muskogee, OK and Sharron L. Bristow of Houston, TX; two great-great granddaughters: Baily A. Wrightsman and Brookie A. Wrightsman, and daughter in law: Pam Bristow of Clinton, MO.  She always cared and shared for others around her.

A visitation will be from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, Thursday, July 19 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203. Burial will be at 10:00 am, Friday, July 20 at Burlingame Cemetery. The address for the cemetery is The Federated Church, 322 South Topeka Ave.,  Burlingame, KS, 66413.
