Nancy Sue Boyd

Nancy Sue Boyd, 79, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away peacefully on May 3, 2016.

She was born April 27, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri to Luther Allen McCullough and Etta McCullough.

Nancy's inspiration will live on through her son, Jeffrey J. Boyd of Olathe, Pamela E. Benton of Shawnee, Debra S. Conroy of Kansas City, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and the countless other lives she influenced.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Woodrow Jackson Boyd, Jr., older sister Patricia Hisle, and younger sister Marietta Vandersal.

Friends will be received at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 8, 2016.

Services with officiating will be held at Crossroads Christian Church in Shawnee, Kansas, Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Burial services will follow in the Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens in Shawnee, Kansas.

Nancy never allowed her post-polio syndrome to prevent her from living her life to the fullest, and the family suggests donations be made to Friends of Johnson County Developmental Supports in her memory.
