Nancy May Chaffin

Nancy Chaffin, 86, of Basehor, KS passed away August 9th, 2021 in Bonner Springs, KS. A visitation will take place Saturday, August 21st from 10-11 AM at First Baptist Church of Basehor. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 11 AM. Nancy was born on January 24th, 1935 in Kansas City, KS to Ira and Cassandra Townsend. Nancy worked for the Kansas City Kansas School District as an Administrative Assistant for 25 years before her retirement. She loved to travel and was an avid cross stitcher. Throughout her lifetime, she was very involved with music in various churches.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bobby Chaffin and her dachshund, Molly. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (David) Benton and son, David (Kerry) Chaffin; five grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Benton, Andrew Benton, Sarah Benton, Jamie Chaffin and Jerod Chaffin; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua Benton and Mycah Benton.
