Nancy Lee (Mose) Yearsley

March 28, 1937 — April 5, 2022

Shawnee

Nancy Lee Yearsely, age 85, peacefully passed away at her home on April 5th, 2022, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Clifford and Thelma (Anderson) Mose on March 28th, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri. Nancy graduated from Liberty High School, and later took classes at Johnson County Community College, attaining a degree in computer sciences.

She married James “Jim” Yearsley on July 15th, 1985, and the couple shared a wonderful life together. They loved going to the beach and traveling to sun-shiny places, taking cruises, spending time with their family and friends, and playing all sorts of games.

Nancy loved to laugh! She was the life of the party and always had a great time. She was one of the sweetest women you’d meet, even if she could be a little sassy at times. She was a talented singer, her specialty being “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Thelma Mose; siblings Dean Wisemore, Walt Wisemore, Norma Fields, Pat Shelby, Gladys McCracken, Pete Mose; and a daughter, Vickie Clark.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 37 years, Jim Yearsley; children Terresa (Jack) Cochran, Mark (Tammy) Clark, and Erich (Brandy) McEwen; grandchildren Steve (Christina) Cochran, Jessica (Dave) Campbell, Betheny (Mike) Clark, Luke (Christy) Clark, Jeremy Riddle, Stephanie (Bobby) Bowers, Brianna McEwen, Erica McEwen, Erich McEwen, Axton McEwen and Logan King; great-grandchildren Taylor and Casey Cochran, Lily and Chloe Campbell, Zach Clark, Tori Howell, Kai Clark, Colton and Drake Clark, Janae and Gunner Riddle, Ally VanVelzer, Wyatt Bowers, Jillian VanVelzer, Ethan Bowers, Feenix and Spencer Stutes, and McKinlee Clapp; and one great-great-grandchild Brayden Wall.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Saturday, April 9th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a mass beginning at 11 am, and a luncheon to follow. Nancy will be laid to rest at Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty, Missouri on Saturday afternoon.
