Nanette F. Doolittle

Nanette F. Doolittle, 84, passed away, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Villa St. Francis Nursing Home in Olathe. Nan was born July 5, 1931 at Stuart, Nebr. to Harry L. and Ethel Cowles. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1952, was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta, and was a teacher before marrying Wendell Doolittle on Oct. 6, 1957. They raised two sons, Daniel and David in Stanley, KS.

She is survived by her husband Wendell, of the home in Gardner, KS; son, Dan (Carolyn), of Ottawa, KS, son David (Vicki), of Charlotte, NC, and five grandchildren, Kelly and Jeffrey, Ottawa, KS, Katie, Overland Park, KS, Lauren, Charlotte, NC, and Mr. & Mrs. Nick Doolittle (Lindsey), Arlington, VA.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday at the Amos Family Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Villa St. Francis or to City Union Mission.
