Naomi G. Doty

Naomi G. Doty, age 81 of Shawnee, Kansas passed away December 11, 2008.

Naomi was born May 3, 1927 in Wakenda, Missouri to Harry and Grace (Dixon) Woolston. She graduated from Wakenda High School and moved to Kansas City to work as a secretary. She was united in marriage to Thomas G. Doty. Naomi worked for over twenty years for the Montgomery Ward Credit Services before retiring. She was an avid bridge player and loved to shop for antiques and attend estate auctions and always enjoyed her trips to New Jersey to visit family.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Doty who passed away in 1962, and by her brothers; Harry, Ervin (Ed) and Dale Woolston. She is survived by her children; Diane Murray and husband Mike of Sparta, New Jersey, and Alan Doty and wife Terri of Overland Park, Kansas. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Alexandria, Mackenzie, Thomas, Grant, Andrew, and Clayton and by her sister Mary Schweppe and husband Earl of Lawrence, Kansas.

Memorial donations in Naomi's memory may be made to the Sjé¶grens Syndrome Foundation.

Visitation and Memorial Service

A visitation will be Sunday, December 28th from 2-3 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
