Neil Carter Buie

Neil Carter Buie, 93, Merriam, KS passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Sharon Lane Nursing and Rehab, Merriam, KS.

Neil was born Nov. 17, 1924 in Kansas City, MO to Charles and Viola Buie. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission Rural High School, attend Kansas State University and the Kansas City Art Institute. Neil was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp during WWII. He owned and operated Buie Brass Works for over 40 years in Kansas City, MO.

Neil was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jeanne Buie and daughter, Mary Virginia Callahan. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Buie; three children, Rick Buie, Lenexa, KS, Jody (Richmond) Shee, Olathe, KS and Chuck (Veda) Buie, Kansas City, KS; three step-children, Jan (Chris) Wallin, Kansas City, MO, Barb (Mike) Beal, Shawnee, KS and Chris (Adell) Bell, Mission, KS; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be 3-5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at the Amos Family Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to either American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
