Nelda Latrell Rash Pittman

Nelda Latrell (Fullerton) Rash Pittman was born December 26, 1941 in Hobbs New Mexico to parents Joel and Ethel Fullerton. She attended Hobbs High School graduating in 1959. She married James Rash of Richmond, Missouri on July 18, 1959. To this union, four children were born: Kevin Rash, James Rash, Jeffrey Rash, and Kimberly Owens. James Rash passed in 1996, and Latrell later wed James Warren Pittman on May 18, 2002. The family made their home in Merriam Kansas, where she faithfully cared for the family until her passing on Ocotber 16, 2014.

She was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and attended Westside Family Church in Lenexa Kansas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She served as church pianist for many years and later on several church committees.She was preceeded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Latrell is survived by her children Kevin Rash (Janna), James Rash (Barbara), Jeffrey Rash (Tina) Kimberly Owens (Jim), 23 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren, her brothers Melvin (Nancy) Fullerton, Thurman (Sandra) Fullerton, sisters Dortha Jones and Wanda Kerley.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, Oct. 20 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm. Sunday at the funeral home.
