Nickola Jo “Jody” Sullivan

Nickola Jo “Jody” Sullivan, 64, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

Jody was born July 6, 1945 in Leroy, Kansas. She was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary and was a past president of the Women's Auxiliary for the State of Kansas in 2007. Jody's passion was spending time with and spoiling her grandkids.

Jody is survived by her father, Bob Jewett, Casa Grande, Arizona; mother, Bea (Williams) Hatfield, Shawnee, Kansas; two sons, Patrick Ryan Sullivan, Shawnee, Kansas, and Sean and his wife, Angela, Sullivan, Kansas City, Kansas; brother, Larry Jewett, Leroy, Kansas; three grandchildren, Sean Patrick, Teagan Ann and Ireland Paige Sullivan; and many other family and friends.

Contributions may be made to a memorial fund for Jody's grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee; where a rosary recitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Following the rosary, there will be a VFW Women's Auxiliary service. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
