Norma Ruth Crowley, 84, passed away March 30, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. Norma was born July 23, 1931 in Enid Oklahoma, to Ernest and Edna Hayes. She was raised in the oil field towns of Western Kansas and Oklahoma. She was a loving, caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana and friend to many. Norma graduated from Fort Hayes State University. She earned her Master's Degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She loved and taught music and reading to many. She will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends. She loved dancing, music and was involved in many organizations. Norma had a great sense of humor and loved animals. Norma and Bill were faithful, active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas for many years. Norma is survived by her daughters; Janna (Pat) Stueve, Jennifer (Joseph) Medina, son; Dr. William (Melissa) Crowley, six grandchildren; Benjamin (Beth) Stueve, Kathleen (Scott) Meinke, Gabriel Stueve, Marissa Crowley, Madelyn Crowley, Mackenna Crowley, one great-grandchild, Henry Stueve, brothers; Ernest (LouElla) Hayes and James (Patricia) Hayes. Norma was preceded in death by her husband; William in 2002.
A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Visitation Catholic Church 5141 Main Street Kansas City, Missouri 64113. Burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their loving care and support.
