Norman Baswell

Norman E. Baswell, 79, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, in his home.

Norman was born March 11, 1934, to Henry and Florence Baswell in Kansas City, Kansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on February 12, 1952, and was honorably discharged on February 23, 1954. Norman spent many years serving the community as a Police Officer. In 1984, Norman married April Klausen and they spent 28 wonderful years together.

Norman leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Catholic Community Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Norman.

A visitation celebrating Norman's life will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial with full military honors will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Leavenworth National Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions, in Norman's name, be made to Catholic Community Hospice.
