Olivia P. Numrich, 96 of Mission, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Manor Care of Overland Park.
Olivia was born August 3, 1915, to the late Anthony and Christina Spielman in Seneca, Kansas. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Providence Nursing College in 1937 and went on to practice as a Registered Nurse in surgery at St. Luke's Hospital and Baptist Memorial for over 25 years, taking time off to stay home and raise her two sons, Bill and Bob. Olivia was a Charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of the ABWA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1976 after 34 years of marriage.
Olivia is survived by her two sons, Bill Numrich and Bob Numrich and wife Martha; sister, Luella Hinton; grandson Brian Numrich and wife Jamie; granddaughter, Julie Murray and husband Dan; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson, Mission, Kansas . A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.; burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
