Olivia Perez

Olivia Perez: loving mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, 92, passed away on Sept. 24, 2017 from natural causes. Olivia was born Sept. 23, 1925 in KC, KS to Claudio and Virginia Liera. She was an avid sports fan who loved KU Jayhawk basketball, KC Royals and the KC Chiefs. She loved to cook, bake and go shopping.  She is survived by her sons; William and Michael (Jacque) Perez, sister-in-law, Mary Hernandez and brother-in-law, Charlie (Katie) Lopez, son-in-law, Robert Bernal, daughter-in-law's; Maria Perez Smith and Beverly Perez, nine grandchildren; Claudio (Alicia) Perez, Jessica Perez, Beatrice Bernal, Olivia Bernal, Samantha Bernal, Mason Perez, Nick Perez, Savanna Perez, Jack Perez and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Manuel, daughter, Virginia Bernal, son, Manuel Perez Jr., sisters; Rosie Hernandez and Loretta Brownfield and brother, Martin Liera. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Nottingham Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care and support.

A Visitation is set for 6 ~ 7:30 PM, Thurs., Sept. 28, 2017 with a Rosary from 7:30 ~ 8 PM at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 AM, Fri., Sept. 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, temporarily located at the old St. Joseph High School Gym, 11525 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203. Burial is set for Maple Hill Cemetery with a Funeral Luncheon immediately following.
