Patricia R. Decoster

Patricia Ruth DeCoster, 85, of Belton, MO formerly of Shawnee, KS passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Patricia was born May 20, 1931 to the late William and Jennifer Van DeBerghe in Shawnee, KS. She was a former member of the Shawnee Belgium Club. She worked as an accountant for Western Auto for many years before starting her own business as a hydroponics tomato farmer in Hutchison, KS. Patricia was an avid RVer and enjoyed traveling with friends all around the U.S. Patricia also is preceded in death by son , Richard DeCoster. She is survived by her children, David DeCoster and wife Patrice; Dennis DeCoster and wife Diane; Janice Maxfield and husband Arthur. Patricia is also survived by her longtime companion of 17 years, George Dustin; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren

Visitation will be 10am to 11am Friday January 27, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11 am at the funeral home.
