Patricia "Pat" Ann Floersch, 75, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, at her home in Overland Park Kansas. She was born to the late Julie and Jim Patton, August 2, 1946, in Yonkers, New York. Pat graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 1964 and received a BA in Elementary Education from Kansas State University in 1968. She married the late Richard Henley Floersch in 1968. They lived together in Overland Park and raised two sons.
Pat is survived by two children, Christopher Edward Floersch and Douglas James Floersch and wife Laura; 3 grandchildren Joey, Parker, and Ian; her brother Kurt Patton and his wife Lynn; her nieces and nephews; her many loving in-laws, and beloved friends. Pat was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years in November of 2020.
Pat worked briefly as a teacher, before raising her two sons. She was involved in Tough Love for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, Celtic music, and had a great appreciation of art. She was a wonderful storyteller and knew many details from family history to fill in those stories robustly. Pat was passionate about genealogy. She enjoyed good food, and often enjoyed a meal with her closest friend of 47 years, Judy Hochman of Overland Park. She was a den mother, a football mother, and a cherished wife and sister.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 1-3pm, at the Floersch Ranch, 25320 W. 131st Street, Olathe, Kansas 66061. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Standup Parenting Kansas City Treasurer Gregg Gehrig 5609 W. 97th Terrace, Overland Park, Kansas 66207 in the name of Pat Floersch.
