Patricia M. Lorimer

Patricia M. Lorimer, 90, passed away on January 7th, 2018.  She was born on July 4th, 1927 in Shelbina, MO to John and Melcenia Maupin.  Patricia grew up in Clarence, MO and later moved to Kansas City, MO in 1945.  She married Paul K. Lorimer on June 5th, 1949 at Countryside Christian Church in Mission, KS.  They raised three children, Pat, Mike and Kathy.  Patricia worked during World War II at the Quartermaster Depot in Kansas City, MO.  She then went on to work as a teacher, homemaker and later retired from KU Medical Center working in various departments.  Patricia and Paul retired to Stockton, MO in 1979 and returned to Johnson County in 1989.  The family greatly appreciates the care Patricia received while a resident at Lakeview Village.  Patricia is survived by her sons, Pat (Debbie); Mike (Regie); daughter, Kathy (Dave) Minich; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; sister, Helen Gibson; and brother, Buck Maupin.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at The Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS, 66203. Memorial service to immediately follow at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090.
