Patricia A. Rupert

Patricia A. Rupert, 85, loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2011.

Patty was a strong and extraordinary person, dedicated to her family and friends. She was a family oriented mother and wife who was a gifted seamstress and artist. Friends and family, up until her final days, would call upon her for assistance when needing interior decorating advice. Patty loved family get-togethers and passing down much loved traditions. She always found the simple beauty in all around her. Many referred to her as elegant. Patty made friends easily and cherished her time volunteering at Top Drawer in Leawood, Kansas.

Survivors include son, Scott Rupert and his wife Carol, Overland Park, Kansas; two daughters, Diane Silvey, Lake Ozark, Missouri and Carrie Borgman and her husband, Randy, Shawnee, Kansas; brother, Bob Palmer and his wife, Lynn, Lenexa, Kansas; sister-in-law, Joanne Gaar, Westwood, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Dan Silvey (Rossella), Kim Generally (Justin), Travis Rupert (Kristin), Tyler Rupert (Brooke), Guy (Trey) Spencer, III, Danielle Torres and Jill Torres; and six great-grandchildren, Dominick Silvey, Christian Silvey, Ryan Silvey, Wynn Generally, Kansas Rupert, and Eva Rupert.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the love and care provided to their mother by the staffs at Shawnee Hills Senior Living, Sweet Life of Shawnee, and Odyssey Hospice.

Memorial Visitation

A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
