Patricia Ann Markley Schleicher

Patricia (Pat) Ann Markley Schleicher was born June 19, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas, to James L. Markley and Mable A. Markley. She entered into rest Thursday, October 14, 2010, at her home in Overland Park, Kansas, at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 24 days.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard Louis Schleicher, and her parents, and brothers Joe, Jack, and Dennis.

Patricia was lovingly devoted to her Lord and her family. Patricia is survived by nine children, Cheri Schleicher Cearley and Rick Cearley of Harrisonville, Missouri, Richard and Stephanie Schleicher of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Dean and Gatha Schleicher of Matthews, North Carolina, Michaela Schleicher Ballou and Bill Ballou of Overland Park, Kansas, Pam Schleicher Braden and Dennis Braden of Gallatin, Tennessee, Daniel (Dan) Schleicher and Janolyn Schleicher of Lenexa, Kansas, Becky Schleicher Roy and Charlie Roy of Gallatin, Tennessee, Patrick and Deanna Schleicher of Shawnee, Kansas and Lisa Schleicher May and Nick May of Chilhowie, Virginia.

Twenty-five grandchildren Ricky Schleicher, Tim Ballou, Courtney Bolden, Stephanie Ballou Cain, Brian Schleicher, Lindsey Canine Highley, Mark Schleicher, Jeremy Canine, Brandon Schleicher, Eric Schleicher, Jami Schleicher Bailey, Phillip Schleicher, Zachary May, Kyle Schleicher, Brady Schleicher, Ashley May, Lacey May, Emily Schleicher, Yasmin Braden, Karly Schleicher, Natalie Schleicher, Katherine Roy, Abby Schleicher, Madeline Schleicher Braden and Alexander Roy.

Seventeen Great-Grandchildren, plus two more expected soon, Kiera Bolden, Will Bolden, Lliam Highley Reagan Highley, Mackenzie Schleicher, Noah Schleicher, Hailey Schleicher, Mackenzie Schleicher, Riley Schleicher, Ellaina Ballou, Cierra Cain, Jeremy Cain, Allysa Cain, Lily Schleicher, Ethan Schleicher, Bailey Schleicher, and Cole Schleicher. One sister, Jean Raab, brothers, Jim Markley, Mike Jones, Tim Jones and Jerry Jones, one Aunt Margaret Markley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.

A Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
