Patsy Ruth McCrea Kershner, a devoted wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away in her home in Shawnee, Kansas on January 24, 2015. She was 85 years old. Born to Ralph and Ruth McCrea on May 24, 1929 in Ottawa, Kansas and raised in Richmond, Kansas.

Patsy graduated from Paola High School, in Paola, Kansas and worked in Kansas City, Mo. prior to marrying Douglas Kershner on June 19, 1948. They have celebrated 66 years of marriage. Patsy has served as a volunteer at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center for 35 years and was a dedicated Christian serving in many capacities in the Presbyterian Church. Her family, grandchildren and great-grandchild were her delight, helping them whenever needed.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Doug, Sons, Michael and wife Cindy, Patrick and his wife Darcy; four grandchildren Amie (Pete), Adam (Jamie), Rebecca (Nick), Benjamin (Katie) and one great-grandchild, Swaye Lynn. Also surviving is a brother William McCrea and a sister Jane Nutt.

Celebration of Life Services

A Celebration of Patsy's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 9595 W. 95th Street, Overland Park, KS.

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church.
