Paul E. Colvin

Paul E. Colvin, 94, of Paola, KS, passed away, Thursday, July 30, 2015.

Mr. Colvin was born July 12, 1921 in Alton, IL to Pete and India Colvin. He worked as an inspector for Trans World Airlines from 1944 - 1983. During WWII, he was a member of the Army Air Corps Reserve. He traveled to various installations helping to train airplane mechanics for the war. He was a lifetime member of Local 1650 I. A. M. He was an instructor at the Fairfax Aviation Training School in Kansas City, KS and the National School of Aeronautics in Kansas City, MO.

He married Kathleen Pence on May 12, 1945 in Alton, IL. She preceded him in death on October 15, 1998. He later married Loretta Barnard and she preceded him in death on March 11, 2014.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula (Bruce) Younger, Livermore, CO; two grandchildren, Robert Coleman (Michelle) Younger and Sarah Beth Younger and five great grandchildren, Alaina, Maya, Norah, Kaylee, and Connor.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday at the First Baptist Church of Paola. Visitation will be 10 -11 a.m. Monday, at the church. Burial will be in Godfrey, IL.
