Paul Eugene "Gene" Davis, 86, of Shawnee, Kansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 1st, 2020.
Gene was born in Kansas City, Kansas on December 5th, 1933. Gene was married to Naomi Ottens, his "blue-eyed doll," on April 18th, 1954; they were married 65 years.
Gene served his country in the Navy during the Korean war and later worked for the federal government as an air conditioning and heating mechanic. He enjoyed wood working, hunting and travel, especially when he could view animals in the wild. He was actively involved in the First Baptist Church of Shawnee.
Gene is survived by his wife Naomi and their children David Davis (Diane) and Lisa Naughton (Steve) as well as seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents Jay and Lorraine Davis and his sisters Ruth Borden and Shirley Clark.
Visitation will be held from 6 -8 pm on Thursday, March 5th at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Ks 66203. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 6th at the First Baptist Church of Shawnee, 11400 Johnson Dr, Shawnee, KS 66203. Following the funeral, burial will be at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W 75th St, Shawnee, KS 66227.
