Paul Michael Norstrud, 76, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 27, 2018, near his home in Lenexa, Kansas.

He leaves his wife of 23 years, Dottie McCrary; his sons, Michael (Sue) Norstrud and Shawn Norstrud; his daughter, Chris (Larry) Mathahs; step-children, Jana (Daryl) Dominguez-Peuker and Chuck (Karin) McCrary; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Judy) Norstrud; two sisters, Jan (Ron) Brandt and Virginia Hauan; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thom and Nora Norstrud and was raised in Thompson, Iowa.

Paul attended Drake University and in later years obtained his Master's in Business Administration from Baker University.  His chosen profession was a funeral director and he was employed for 31 years at Amos Family Funeral Home.  He was also an adjunct professor at Park University, teaching business management.

Paul was an active member of Lenexa United Methodist Church and was very involved in Lenexa Optimist.  He enjoyed playing his guitar and working out at the gym.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Amos Family Funeral Home.  Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.  Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas.
