Paul M. Watts

August 4, 1930 — April 30, 2015

Paul Martin Watts went on to be with our Lord Thursday, April 30th, 2015. Many people knew him and all called him a friend. Paul was born August 4, 1930 in Leslie AR, son of the late Gladys and Bruce Watts. He was completely devoted to his family and worked hard all his life to care for them. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren and was proud of all their accomplishments. He started in the newspaper business at an early age and retired after 40 years in the business, working for The Daily Oklahoman, and The Wichita Eagle. During his years he pioneered many new processes that are still in place today. Paul was always an advocate for the "common working man" and had a gift of helping and serving others. After retiring he volunteered for the American Red Cross, some weeks putting in a full time schedule. He delivered blood to hospitals, sometimes on an emergency basis. He also spent many hours and miles taking people to their doctor appointments. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Jean, four children - Joe David Bowers, Cynthia Bowers, Cathy Watts, Janie Watts and her husband John Rance, and 4 grandchildren - Karen Bowers, Kevin Bowers, Daniel Martin, and Aaron Watts. His brother Berkley, wife Lois and their children Terry Watts and Lori Bedford.
