Pauline Maxine Patrick

December 25, 1922 — December 25, 2013

PAULINE M. PATRICK was born Christmas Day 1922 and died Christmas Day 2013. She was born to William and Nina Leuszler, and reared on a farm in Soldier, KS, with her older sister, Pluma (Carlton Lacey). After graduating from Holton (KS) High School at age 16, Pauline moved to Kansas City, where she attended business college. It was during those early days of her business career that she met her future husband, a young dental student, Lee W. Patrick. They were married in 1943. During their nearly 54 years of marriage, they reared their eight children in Fairway, KS, and were founding members of Village Church in Prairie Village. Pauline was a member of the Church choir; she was the first president of Johnson County Dental Wives Auxiliary, she enjoyed reading, traveling and playing golf. Pauline is survived by her children: Jan.(John Waid), Sue (Kurt Lerner), Judy Patrick, Lee, Jr (Teresa), Michael (Kathy), Richard (Wendy), Peggy Murphy (Fred Perez), and Kelly Patrick. Grandchildren are Jordan Waid, Lisa McClain, Scott Patrick, Christopher and Caitlin Patrick, Shannon and Maureen Murphy, Ian Patrick, Blaire and Lindsey Patrick. Great grandchildren are Olivia and Sebastian Waid, Landon Webernick, Noah Ford and Nolan Patrick. We will miss Pauline's sweet and quiet strength; her twinkling blue eyes and beautiful smile; her wonderful wit and sense of humor, and most of all, the love she had for her family.
