Pauline Emma Slack

Pauline E. Slack, 95 years young, peacefully passed away in the early morning of Thur., April 8, 2021. She was the wife of the late Louis M. Slack, the daughter of the late Louis and Emma Vandenberg, and the sister of the late Louis Vandenberg, Jr. Pauline was a 1943 graduate of Ward High School in Kansas City, KS. She loved “her” Royals, Chiefs and KU Basketball, and always had the appropriate flag flying outside her front door. She continued bowling and piano lessons until the pandemic put an end to her outside activities. Survivors include her son and his wife, Paul and Valerie Slack, her daughter and her husband, Linda and Jim Mizeur, 9 grandchildren, 14 (soon to be 15) great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home on Monday, April 12th from 9:00 - 10:00 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 10 AM. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Pauline’s name to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145
