Peggy Bratton

Margaret L. "Peggy" Bratton, 84, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012, at The Forum at Overland Park, Kansas.

Peggy was born May 17, 1928, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to James and M. Marie (Leddy) Wylie. On September 16, 1946, Peggy married Robert Earl Bratton in Kansas City, Missouri. After raising eight children, she continued raising children through teaching Sunday school and preschool at Shawnee United Methodist Church. Peggy was active in the United Methodist Women and Church Women United.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Nell and son, Ken. Survivors include her sister, Bettye Grewe, Citrus Heights, California; four daughters, Judy Christiansen, Shawnee, Kansas, Sue (Bob) Love, Grandview, Missouri, Paula (Tod) Raibble, Prairie Village, Kansas and Karen Bratton, Lincoln, Nebraska; three sons, Ron (Gina) Bratton, David Bratton, both of Shawnee, Kansas and Bill Bratton, Chicago, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; four great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:30-6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2012, at the funeral home; burial in the Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
