Peggy A. Bandel McElhenie, 81 passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Villa St Francis in Olathe, KS.  Peggy was born August 13, 1938 to the late James and Anna Payne in Keytesville, MO. She graduated Keytesville High School in 1956 and earned an Associates degree in Nursing from KCKCC in 1980. She was a Home Health Nurse for many years with Catholic Charities and loved seeing her patients.

Peggy married Raymond Bandel in 1957 and they had four childen- Sarah (Greg) Skillett, David Bandel, Karla (Ron) Stockard and Karen (Terry) Longan. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Raymond in 1977 and her second husband James McElhenie in 1999. She is survived by her four children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Peggy was an avid gardner who became a Master Gardner and an amazing painter whose medium of choice was watercolors. She was an amazing wife and mother and will be truly missed.

Graveside Services

A graveside service for family will be held Friday, June 26th at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
