Penny Newton

Penny Newton, 94, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2022.

Penny was born in Regensburg, Germany on December 17th, 1927. She moved to the U.S. in 1954 where she met and married Arthur Newton in 1955. Penny became an American citizen in 1977.

Penny is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arthur in 1980 and her sister Sita. She is survived by her two children son Paul Newton and daughter Carol Perez; granddaughter Jordan and her husband Michael Davis who both lovingly called her Oma.

Penny worked as a water aerobics instructor since 1993 until she stopped at the age of 90. She loved to help others get active and healthy with tough exercises but with fun and light hearted classes. Penny was easy to befriend and Love.

Thank you to those at hospice that helped Penny and her family.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm also at the funeral home. Penny will be laid to rest next to her husband Arthur in Pleasant View Cemetery in Shawnee, Kansas.
