Phillip S. Munson

Phillip S. Munson, 82, of Mission, KS, passed away on July 2nd, 2018 at his daughter's home in Peculiar, MO.  He was born on April 28th, 1936 in Webb City, MO to P.B. and Regina Munson.  Phillip served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960.  Phillip married the love of his life, Naomi Josephine Ragsdale, on February 18th, 1961.  He went on to Pittsburg State College and graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration.  Soon after, Phillip took his family to Kansas City where they raised four children in Mission, KS.  After forty years of employment, he retired from the insurance industry.  His hobbies included fishing, traveling and spending time with family, friends and neighbors.  Phillip is preceded in death by his wife.  He is survived by his daughters, Elaine (Brett) Roberts; Peggy (Lisa) Munson; Jennifer (Al) Horn; and son, David (Robin) Munson; sister, Phyllis Jackson; along with seven grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, any donation may be made to The Salvation Army.

Visitation will be held at Amos Funeral Home from 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 5th.  Burial will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery on Friday, July 6th at 10:00 AM.
