Phyllis Joan Fields

Phyllis Joan Fields of Shawnee. Passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017.

Joan was born Sept 4, 1956 to Philip and Sandra Gentile in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Belton Missouri High School in 1974, then earned a degree from Johnson County Community College in 1990. Joan enjoyed traveling with family, her travel highlights were two trips to Rome, Italy. Other interests were Royals and Chiefs games, live music concerts, baking, practicing new recipes on her family, outdoor barbeques, and family genealogy. Joan was happiest when she was with her children, sharing and participating in their activities.

She is survived by her sons Michael Fields of Merriam, Matthew Fields of Chicago, her twin daughters, Kathryn Jackson of Dodge City KS, and Jillian Fields of Overland Park. Her husband of 30 years, Thomas Fields of Kansas City, her father Philip Gentile, and her brothers Chris Gentile and Tony Gentile. Joan is preceded in death by her mother Sandra Strong Gentile.
