Rachel Elaine Anderson, 35, of Shawnee, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Rachel was born September 26, 1982.  She graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 2001.  Rachel was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, KU basketball, Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.  In addition to her hometown teams, she loved rooting for the Chicago Cub, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Bears.

She is survived by her loving parents, Diana and Kevin Wehner; Grandma, Karol Laehn; an aunt, Melanie Patton; an uncle, Mark Laehn and wife Tammy; and many extended family, cousins and friends.  Rachel is preceded in death by her Grandpa, Raymond Laehn. Rachel had a passion for helping others and enjoyed gathering food for the less fortunate.

Celebration of Life Services

Please join Rachel’s family in celebrating her life from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, in The Wheat Room at Barley’s Kitchen and Tap, 16649 Midland Drive, Shawnee, Kansas.  Come share your memories of Rachel and show your love for your favorite team, casual dress is encouraged.
