Ralph D. Byrd, 83, passed away at Advent Health Shawnee Mission on October 3, 2022. He was born to Arlie and Syble Byrd on July 14, 1939 in Kansas City, KS. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 50 years Sandra Byrd in 2014. He is survived by his sons Robert and Russell Byrd; grandchildren Ryan, Christopher, Mariah, Justin and Madison; 13 great grandchildren and many friends who will miss him greatly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 14th, 2022 from 10-11 am, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, KS. He will be laid to rest next to Sandra at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, KS following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the COPD Foundation .
