Ralph S. Noland

Ralph S. Noland passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2021.

Ralph was born on November 10, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois and was immediately adopted as an infant by Marian Ehrhardt.  Marian later married Stanley Elven who adopted and raised Ralph as his son.  He attended Wyandotte High School and graduated in 1966.  After high school, Ralph joined the Army and became a member of the U.S. Special Forces as a Green Beret and later was honorably discharged.  He then went on to work for General Motors and was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union Local #31.  In 1972, Ralph married Barbara Harter.  Together they raised three children - Steve, Joe, and Andrea.  After his retirement from General Motors, Ralph served as a security guard for the Coca-Cola plant in Lenexa, Kansas.

Ralph had a strong work ethic and was passionate about many things-the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals, and most of all, God and his family.  Ralph was a good friend to many people and was truly one of a kind.  He enjoyed sports, car shows, car races, casinos, and all events that included his grandchildren.  He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Ralph is survived by his sons Steven (Teresa), Joe (Kelly), and daughter Andrea.  Ralph is survived by the mother of his children, Barbara Noland, and grandchildren, Kelsey, Nik (Jessica), Jake, Niki, Jackson, Kaitlyn, Emily, and Jamie as well as four great-grandchildren.  Ralph is also survived by his brother Dan, sister Mary Louise, and many extended family members.  He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Marian Elven.

A visitation will be held at Crossroads Christian Church, 5855 Renner Road, Shawnee, Kansas 66217 on March 6, 2021 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with a memorial service to immediately follow.  A private military burial service for the immediate family will be held at a later date.
