Ramesh V. Lingamallu

Ramesh Lingamallu, 80, of Overland Park, KS passed away on July 16, 2022. He was born on July 29th, 1941 and was the youngest son of Veera and Venkata Satyanarayna Lingamallu.

As the youngest son, he claimed the role of the fun and lively sibling from an early age. He loved to travel and take road trips with his friends and family. When he was 22, he married his sweetheart Bhavani and shortly afterward had 2 kids, Sailaja and Mahesh.

In 1977, Ramesh and family moved from India to the US, in hopes of pursuing the American Dream. He moved between Kentucky and Louisiana but ultimately settled in Henderson, Kentucky before retiring in Overland Park, Kansas in 2007.

Ramesh had a very kind soul. He would easily make friends and help guide Indians who newly moved to the US, even if he didn’t know them. He was someone who would always find the good in people. He has helped numerous people find their way and navigate life.

Ramesh is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bhavani Lingamallu; 2 children, Sailaja and Mahesh Lingamallu; and survived by his 4 grandchildren.

A service will be held on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022 at 11 am at the Amos Family Funeral Home with cremation taking place after.
