Ray I. Powell

Ray I. Powell, 94, of Lenexa, went to be with Jesus and wife, Lois, Friday, August 30, 2013, at 2:28 p.m. Ray was born April 4, 1919, in Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Ann Powell, son David Powell, sister Helen Fisher, and parents Esta Belle and Hugh Powell, and step father Henry Bahnub.

Survivors include one daughter, Patti "Patrick" Ann Clark and husband Joe, Shawnee, Kansas; two daughters-in-law, Connie Powell, and Judy Powell; two granddaughters, Andrea Powell and Kelli Caffey and husband Curt; a grandson, Reed Ostrom; and five great grandsons, Austin Caffey, Hayden Caffey, Jack Caffey, Nicholas Telken and Gabriel Telken.

Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Cross Points Church, 6824 Lackman Road, Shawnee, Kansas 66217, with the funeral service following the visitation at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cross Points Church, 6824 Lackman Road, Shawnee, Kansas 66217.
