Rebecca “Becky” R. Lubeski, age 66, passed away on July 13th, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous two-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Becky was born in San Diego, California to Robert and Edith Snyder. The family moved to the Kansas City area in 1955, and Becky graduated form Shawnee Mission North in 1973. She met Bill Lubeski at a McDonald’s where they were both working, and the two began to date. They married on May 19th, 1979 at Shawnee Presbyterian Church.
She and Bill had three children together, Robert, Janessa, and Kelli. Becky enjoyed her children and grandchildren, knitting, crafting, and loved going to the beach. Her favorite vacation was the trip to Panama City Beach with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Robin Snyder. Becky is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill Lubeski; children Robert Lubeski, Janessa (Brandon) Lubeski-Borja, and Kelli Lubeski; grandchildren Camryn Lubeski, Juliette Book, and Keira Lubeski; aunt Katherine Wells; sister-in-law Barb Grienke; sister Molly (Mike) Bridge; nieces Libby Bridge, Hilary (Alex) DeJong, and Hayley (Jeremiah) Troby; great-niece Miah Troby and many friends and family members who will miss her greatly.
The family wishes to thank Kansas City Hospice and nurses Beth and Michelle. They also wish to thank the University of Kansas Health System and Dr. Mark Hamblin and his staff.
A visitation will be held at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 from 1 to 3 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
