Renee L. Mathis, 46, of Merriam passed away Friday May 29, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Renee was born September 8, 1968 in Galveston, Texas to Hubert Smith and Michele Meginn. Renee graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest high school in 1986. On November 23, 1988, she married Toby D. Mathis in Murfreesboro, TN. She is preceded in death by her step father, William Meginn in 2007. Renee is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Toby. She is also survived by her three daughters, Toby M. Mathis; Tiffany R. Mathis; Tempest N. Mathis; mother, Michele Meginn; father, Hubert Smith and wife Charleen; half-brothers, Bradley Smith; Wayne Barham and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation and Services

A Celebration of Renee's Life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
