Rhonda Lou Lamport, 61, of Overland Park, KS passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her home.

Rhonda was born March 28, 1956 to Dale and Betty Modig in Salina, KS.  She graduated from Shawnee Mission West in 1974 and attended Johnson County Community College.  Rhonda enjoyed traveling in the western United States visiting national parks and monuments.  She loved visiting the natural wonders of the western U.S.  She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and aunt, who enjoyed baking cookies and passing her love of baking on to her children and grandchildren.

Rhonda is survived by her son, Jason Lamport and longtime friend Jennifer Darling; her mother, Betty Modig; two aunts, Christine Hesting and husband Charles; Blanche Melvin; a sister, Tamra Modig; a brother, Jeffrey Modig; grandson, Jorden Lamport, two nieces, Katie Warner and husband David; Kara Repp and husband Cody; two grandnephews, Isaac and Reece Warner; grandniece Alayna Repp; and Cayden Darling-Neer.  She is also survived by a longtime friend, Carol Langdon.  Rhonda is preceded in death by her father, Dale Modig and infant brother, Dale Modig, Jr.

Memorial Visitation

A memorial visitation will be from 1  to 2 p.m. Friday, December 15 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS.
