Richard Harding Behne, 80, Shawnee, KS passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at his home. Richard was born July 6, 1933 in Leavenworth, KS to Henry F. and Margaret (Wohlfarth) Behne. He was a 1952 graduate of McLouth High School, McLouth, KS. Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Behne on Feb. 7, 2014, his sister Helen Schwartz, and nephews Tim Schwartz, Brandon Behne, Mark and Mike Zachariah. He is survived by two brothers Donald (Jacinta) Behne, San Diego, CA; John (Diane) Behne, Easton, KS; three sisters Rita Zachariah, Lafayette, IN; Alice Behne, Topeka; Carol (Rick) Jones, Sparks, NV; and brother-in-law Tom Schwartz, Topeka; step-children Steve (Cassy) Lewis, Jim (Carolyn) Lewis, Barb Miller, and Peggy Groce; and eight grandchildren Callie (Aaron Walters) Lewis and Ben (Stephanie) Lewis; Matt, Jeff and Shelby Lewis; Monica (Steve) Mock and Chris Miller; and Fred (Shu) Young.

Graveside Service and Visitation

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15 in the Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Amos Family Funeral Home.
