Richard “Bart” Barton Farmer

Richard "Bart" Barton Farmer, 68, passed away on January 6, 2018. Bart was born July 11, 1949 in Scott city, Kansas to Donald and Velma Farmer.

Bart is survived by his sons, Alan (Julie Dewhirst) Farmer, Mike Farmer, sisters, Linda (John) Peterson, Kathy Durham and Chris (Jim) Johnson. Bart was preceded in death by his parents.

Bart was owner/CEO of ProPay LLC, until his retirement. He liked to travel, with trips to India & Israel. He also loved spending time in the mountains of Colorado, mostly the Green Mountain Falls area. He loved to fish and hike while there. He also got "hooked' on deep sea fishing in the gulf. His greatest trips lately have been with his two sons, enjoying every moment they could.

Bart had a passion for helping those in need, especially the homeless around the Kansas City Area, volunteering many hours with several groups to help feed, clothe and give support to ones in need. He had made a connection with a lot of people, just by being a friend to them.

A Visitation is set for 6 ~ 8 PM, Friday Jan. 12, 2018 at Redemption Church, 515 S. Ridgeview Road, Olathe, Kansas 66061 with a funeral service at 11 AM, Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 at the Church. Cremation has been chosen.
