Richard Junghans

RICHARD JUNGHANS

Richard Paul Junghans was born September 11, 1925 to Paul and Victoria Junghans in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.  He passed away April 17, 2018 at the age of 92.  He is survived by his wife Betty Gulick, sons Dr. Richard Paul Junghans Jr. of Boston, Massachusetts, Brian Victor Junghans of Atlanta, Georgia, Steven Archer Junghans of Estes Park, Colorado, and niece Lynn Ellen Coers of Waldron, Indiana.  Richard was a man of many interests and talents.  He was a veteran of World War II in the 294th Field Artillery Observation Battalion.  He had five Master's Degrees and three published books.  He had also been a small business owner, a professor of English and Literature at Indiana State University, Terre Haute, In. and Professor of English as a Second Language at the Terre Haute Federal Prison. He has lived in Shawnee for 6 years.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 on Saturday, April 21st 2018 at Pleasant View Cemetery.
